I'm Anthony from AD Locksmithing, covering North Shields NE29 and NE30 for lock repairs, lock changes, emergency lockouts, uPVC window locks and non-destructive entry. Around the clock, and you reach me direct.
No problem, give me a call on 07865 367 298. I'll have your lock open in no time!
I carry the most common replacement locks and parts in the van, so a lockout, a repair or a lock change can be handled in a single visit, for homes and commercial premises across NE29 and NE30.
Locked out in North Shields? Non-destructive entry is how I approach every lockout, and it works in about 99% of cases, so your door and frame stay intact. Lost keys, worn euro cylinders, snapped keys and multipoint mechanisms that no longer engage are all faults I open and repair. As an emergency locksmith I'm available around the clock, evenings, weekends and bank holidays included.
A stiff lock usually comes down to a worn cylinder or a door that has dropped on its hinges, and a repair often costs less than a replacement - I'll say so before any work starts. For lost keys I change the cylinder on the same visit. After a break-in I handle burglary repairs: replacing the lock, swapping out compromised parts, re-aligning doors that have shifted on impact. I can also sort a front door handle that won't lift to throw the bolts.
I believe that the true measure of my service is reflected in the voices of my customers.
It's one thing for me to tell you about the dedication and expertise I bring to each task. Yet, hearing it directly from those who have experienced my services is entirely different. These testimonials highlight the quality of my work and my commitment to creating lasting relationships with every client I have the privilege of assisting.
On older timber doors I work on mortice locks, rim cylinders and lever handles. On composite and UPVC doors, the multipoint mechanism running up the edge.
Anti-snap cylinders are the standard I install on any front door in North Shields, and they are what most home insurers now expect. If yours is worn, sticking, or a basic type that snaps under force, it's worth changing. I'll talk through the options before I start.
The usual sign of a fault is a handle that won't lift to throw the bolts, or a door that won't lock even though the key still turns. The cylinder is normally fine - it's the gearbox that has worn. I can replace the gearbox alone or the whole mechanism without taking the door off.
On uPVC windows I repair and replace the hardware: handles, locking mechanisms, hinges and restrictors.
A handle that spins without engaging, a mechanism that has seized so the window won't open or pull shut, hinges that have dropped so the sash no longer sits square, a restrictor that has failed - these are all things I can fix. Where a mechanism is past repair I fit a replacement rather than leave the window unsecured.
I'm the only person you'll deal with, from the first call to the lock being fitted.
No call-out fee - you pay for the work done, nothing extra.
Direct contact - the call comes to me, not a call centre.
Fast response - I aim to reach you in 20-30 minutes for most NE29 and NE30 call-outs.
Honest advice - I'll say if a repair beats a replacement.
