Euro Cylinders & UPVC Door Locks

I can fit euro cylinders on most UPVC, composite and timber doors. If your insurance asks for a higher security rating, or you just want the extra peace of mind, I can fit BS3621-certified locks or 3-star diamond secure high-security euro cylinders instead.

Mortice Locks & Deadlocks

Mortice locks are standard on wooden doors. I can replace 3-lever and 5-lever mortice locks and deadlocks. Where your insurance calls for BS3621-certified locks, I can fit those too.

Night Latches & Rim Cylinders

I can replace night latch units, rim cylinders and Yale-style locks on wooden front doors, including British Standard night latches from Yale and ERA.

Multipoint Mechanisms & Double Glazing Gearboxes

If your multipoint mechanism is slipping, jamming or won't fully lock, I can usually repair or replace the gearbox. A full strip replacement is rarely needed. I can also service the cylinder, handles and related mechanisms on UPVC and composite doors.

Padlocks, Bolts & Additional Security

I can replace or upgrade padlocks, fit extra bolts, and add further security to sheds, garages and outbuildings.

How My Lock Replacement Service Works

1. Quick Inspection

I take a look at your door, the existing lock, cylinder, latch and any related mechanism. That helps me pick the right replacement for the door and your security needs.

2. Removing the Old Lock

I take out the old lock, cylinder, mortice lock or night latch cleanly. Any small adjustments to the door or frame during the change come without any extra costs.

3. Fitting the New Lock

I fit the replacement lock, make sure it runs smoothly and check the door closes properly. Anti-snap euro cylinders are my default. If you want a BS3621 or 3-star diamond secure high-security upgrade, I can fit those instead.

4. Testing and Handover

I test the lock, handle and keys from both sides to make sure everything is secure and turning correctly. I hand over the new keys and point out anything specific about the new lock if it needs explaining.

The Exceptions

The usual exceptions are discontinued or specialist locks that I need to source separately, 3-star diamond secure high-security euro cylinders, and multipoint mechanism replacements as above. In those cases I'll tell you the difference in price before I start.
